Royal Coats + Early Spring Fashion (Think Pink!)

Happy Friday!

So how big do you think the front hall closet is at the palace? The royal coat game has been very strong this year, no?

Meghan sported a lovely Stella McCartney with a ribbon belt to view a castle in Wales. Her life is very hard, no?

From People

I love how she’s keeping with the messy bun. It’s suits her lovely bone structure. Do you think she wears a messy bun sweatshirt around the house, like this one from Five Wild Hearts? I like to think she does.

Not to be outshone, Kate sported a lovely coat from Boden. The ruffle detail is very pretty.

In the winter, I’m just concerned about being warm. I always wear my BB Dakota wrap and a Hat Attack slouchy beanie in the house because I’m always that cold. As we edge toward spring, I gravitate towards really pretty fashion and will be pulling soft colours and feminine detailing out of my closet after months of bundling up.
I love this ballet-inspired wrap sweater from J. Crew. It’s sold out, but I’d not be surprised if they bring it back for spring.
I have a similar one in black that I’ll pull out to wear with a pale pink lace skirt I own.
I adore the Duchess Blazer from Smythe in Rethink Pink. A portion of the proceeds goes towards Rethink Breast Cancer (hence the model’s pose.)
For a less spendy version, this pale pink blazer from Banana Republic is very pretty. The colour is lovely.
The DeMellier bag Meghan carried for her Welsh castle visit is a winner. She carried the green, but I particularly like it in the pink.
Are you starting to think about spring fashion or are you still in the heart of winter. (Or vice versa for you southern hemisphere readers!)

  1. I too have noticed Meghan going with the messy bun, which looks easy, fun and attractive. Am wondering if this is the 'engagement phase' to be followed by a more polished 'married' phase. Either way, she is gorgeous, and I am enjoying every minute. Pale pink is my weakness, just love it and have too many pale pink sweaters which hardly ever are worn. My goodness I would love one of those pink jackets!

  2. I tried to think about spring last week after we planned our May vacation but nope, can't do it, too cold. I love pale blush pink though. Last year I bought a wool poncho from Winser London in pale pink with a matching wool pencil skirt, I'm hoping to wear that sometime this spring though it's difficult to imagine it ever being warm again. Oooh I do like the shape of that bag! xx

Love to hear from you!
